Throwback Thursday
Since I posted on Raphael Saadiq on Tuesday I thought I'd play on the whole theme and make Throwback Thursday's video Lucy Pearl's "Dance Tonight". Lucy Pearl was an R&B group created by Saadiq and D'Angelo. The group consisted of Saadiq, ex En Vogue member Dawn Robinson and Ali Muhammad from A Tribe Called Quest. The group released one hit album self-titled Lucy Pearl which included hits like "Don't Mess with my Man" and "Dance Tonight". The group is still together but hasn't released any material since 2004. On a lighter note, enjoy "Dance Tonight".

Everybody and Their Momma
On yesterday I posted a video of The Carters at Power 105.1's Powerhouse Concert. The concert held at IZOD Center in East Rutherford, NJ included guests Plies, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo and Jay-Z. From the pictures it appears everyone showed up to have a good time. There was no press on any fights or arrests so that is good. Maybe Black Hollywood is learning that in order for us to progress that we must first start with ourselves.

TRL Swag
Both John Legend and Brandy were at TRL on yesterday to promote their new albums. Brandy recently finished her fifth studio album, Human, her first release on Epic Records while John Legend's "Evolver" dropped on Tuesday, October 28th. Make sure you go out and pick up both's artist cd so we can continue to support good music.

Dressed In All Black Like The Omen
Get into these pictures of the Queen Bee as she arrives in Tokyo, Japan my home town. I like how she's all smiles as she walks through the airport. She must have just gotten off the phone with Hova because that's not her usual paparrazi face. Anyway, I love her all the same!! And that is all.

Dynamic Duo: The Carters
Those Carters never cease to amaze me. Get into this video of Sasha Fierce from hubby Jay-Z's concert last night. She came out, did a bit of Single ladies, threw up the ROC sign and sashayed off the stage.
Beyonce's part starts at1:42 on the video and make sure you get into the way she flashes the infamous ring at the end. That beyonce, that damn beyonce!!
Thanks to You Got Tea reader, Justin long for the video.
with my hope for a jay/bey type love,

PETA Targets MK & A
Get into these pictures of PETA protesting outside The Barnes & Noble book store where Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen held a book signing on yesterday. PETA who's slogan is "animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment." don't like avid fur wearers MK & A. I'm not pro-fur or anti-fur but, I just found the pictures to be quite interesting. The girls are millionaires for Christ sake PETA give them a break. If they can afford to be draped out in minks, LET IT BE.

Back On The Scene
Anyone who "really" knows the Intellect and I, knows how much we love Mario. He was recently in Atlanta with Terrence Howard and Chosen Wilkins for a private dinner for a group of special fans. While in Atlanta, Mario also stopped by Triangle Sound Studios to work on some music. I'm glad to see Mario is putting his face back on the scene. Maybe these new pictures are a glimpse that he's currently in the studio and ready to give us another great album like "GO" which didn't get any mainstream play. A&R problem much? But, that's a another story in itself. I'm going to stop raving and just let you feast on the pictures, ENJOY!
