The After Shock

A very relieved Beyoncé Knowles reunited with her husband Jay-Z in New York last night after she was caught up in a Japanese earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale.

The couple enjoyed a romantic dinner at Nello restaurant on the Upper East Side hours after she flew into the U.S. from Toyko where she was doing a fashion promotion at the Disneyland Hotel in Urayasu, Chiba.

The Carters Out & About

Photo: Mr and Mrs. Carter on the streets of NYC earlier this week!

It's nothing like a leisurely stroll through the city to take your mind off the constraints of Super stardom. At the end of the day we all have to sit back and enjoy our accomplishments right?

I Got The Hottest Chick In The Game Wearing My Chain

The Carters were caught giving on-lookers what they wanted yesterday at Pastis, a french cuisine restaurant located in the meatpacking district of NYC. The power couple enjoyed a day of leisure in honor of their one year wedding anniversary which occurred on Saturday, April 4th.

Now, you know I couldn't leave without giving my light assessment of The Carters' outfits. I must say I love Hov's simplistic look; you can never go wrong with a tee, jean, bomber and sneaker. I also love how Beyonce went for "City Chic," adorned in a burgundy, suede, bomber, button-up, skinny jean and heel. As, I say all the time "less is more" and these two reinforce that statement.

Feature: Jay-Z Singing Destiny's Child "T-Shirt"

This is an oldie but, goodie. It goes to show the flame between Bey and Jay has been lit awhile. This is from The Best Of Both Worlds Era. Get into Jay-Z humming Destiny's Child "T-Shirt," off the Destiny Fulfilled album. I see it like this. Either Jay has just heard the song and was excited for it or Beyonce had literally just taken off his t-shirt and he was feeling some type of way. Either way, I live for the Carter Love!

If It Aint Money, It Don't Make Sense

When you and I are sleeping, this power couple is making stacks. In the year of 2008, The Carters brought in an estimated $168 million, generating a majority from album sales, endorsements and concerts/appearances. This is a power couple on the move, learn the name. CARTA is OVAH!!

This Is What Kanye Meant By The Good Life

Call it overkill if you want. I live for these two! How many peopl can walk through St. Barts un-noticed like tourist with a big ass bodyguard then tip back into the states and create a media frenzy? Let's just call them The CARTAS for short.

As I search for my vintage ray bans and ralph lauren black label bag,

Let's Live On Hadley Street Forever

This family just never ceases to amaze me, While Jay and Bey chilled on the boat in St. Barts, Solange frolicked on the beach in Miami with friends. Tell me you wouldn't want to live on Hadley Street and I'll smack you.

It's a read, just a light one though.

What A Way To Spend Your B. Day

As you saw on the blog, Jay-Z celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday, December 4th. To celebrate Jay's birthday, Bey and him spent a day at the Miami Beach Convention Center enjoying art and quality time together. Beyonce who's an avid painter and frequenter of the art circuit quotes art as a release for her. With the schedules these two share I bet art was a great release for both of them. I must say I'm not mad, it's nothing wrong with being cultured.

Welcome To Gotham City

Beyonce covers December's Giant Magazine.

A quote from the article:

"Jay is so cool. He can just stand on stage completely still, and the audience will go nuts. Me? I have to work it! I’m shaking it and throwing it and rolling around on the floor.”

my response: And we're fine with that Beyonce, that's what an entertainer does.

The Baracks & The Carters

After basically throwing here name out there to perform, I know Beyonce is elated to actually be included in the roster to perform at president Barack Obama's inauguration on Jan. 20th in DC. The roster which also includes hip hop hard hitters Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce's hubby Jay-Z is set to be one of the biggest inaugurations to ever happen. People do you understand what kind of history we are making? This inauguration is going to include Hip-Hop music. As I think of the growth our country is experiencing I get teary eyed. I'm inspired.

This is only the beginning.

New Music: Jay-Z "Brooklyn Go Hard"

Get into this exclusive track from Mr. Carter himself featuring Santogold. The track entitled "Brooklyn Go Hard" takes me back to the days of old hip hop. With the old school feel of the sample alongside new school artist Santogold this is a definite hit. I like how Hova is reaching out to eclectic artist such as Santogold and M.I.A., it goes to show that diversity is an element found in what can become a verbatim music industry at times. They say Hip Hop is dead but, artist like Jay-Z are bringing it back to the basics. Click below for the link to the song via z-share.

The Dynamic Duo

I want that Jay-Z/Beyonce type love. The kind of love that includes court side seats at the Knicks versus Cavaliers game. I get newlywed tease still, I'm not mad though. Live it up Carters.

Dynamic Duo: The Carters

Those Carters never cease to amaze me. Get into this video of Sasha Fierce from hubby Jay-Z's concert last night. She came out, did a bit of Single ladies, threw up the ROC sign and sashayed off the stage.

Beyonce's part starts at1:42 on the video and make sure you get into the way she flashes the infamous ring at the end. That beyonce, that damn beyonce!!

Thanks to You Got Tea reader, Justin long for the video.

with my hope for a jay/bey type love,

And She Continues To Sting

Mrs. Carter has been in the news alot recently with the upcoming release of her yet, untitled LP, the two new singles/videos and an array of other publicity stints. I'm excited for her to tip back on the scene and give us TRUE BEYONCE fans what we deserve some GOOOOOOD MUSIC. I've talked to some colleagues (ie: RSS) who discussed his dislike with Beyonce's single "If I Were A Boy". I've personally heard it and I'm excited to see the video but, I guess we have to wait until actual video and song drops to see how everyone else feels. With that said get into Beyonce on the cover of the latest Essence Magazine. She opens up about her new album and relationship with Jay-Z. “…What Jay and I have is real. It’s not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It’s real.” To read the rest of the article and hear what else Mrs. Carter said pick up this issue of Essence on sale now.

White Woman Swag

Mrs. Beyonce-Knowles Carter was inducted into the International Pediatric Hall of Fame for her generous work towards helping others. The event was held at the Children's Hospital Foundation Diamond Ball at American Airlines Arena on October 4, 2008 in Miami, Florida. Those Carters never cease to amaze me. First, Jay-Z receives his award for helping raise funds for the world water crisis and now Beyonce for her generous amount of help with the International Pediatric Hall of Fame. Humanitarians much? As much as you like to hate them you can't help but love them.
