The Activist

Photo: Mario For PETA

As, a huge Mario fan I'm glad to see him back on the scene. He recently shot this ad for PETA which showcases his re emergence on the scene. His last album "GO" didn't sell as well as hoped but, with the success of his new single "Break Up," and the media attention he's been receiving, Mario's stepped back on the scene with a vengeance. His new album, D.N.A is set to be released on September 22nd via J-Records and the label's spoke highly of Mario's growth with the record. I look forward to hearing Mario's growth and new sound with the record. I also await seeing the numbers Mario generates within the first week. With that said, pick up Mario's new album "D.N.A" when it hits stores September 22nd.

A Blast From The Past

20th Century Fashion offers a stylish retrospective of the last hundred years, via 400 fashion advertisements from the Jim Heimann Collection. Using imagery culled from a century of advertising, this book documents the unrelenting pace of fashion as it was adopted into the mass culture, decade by decade. An in-depth introduction, chapter text, and illustrated timeline detail the style-makers and trend-setters, from couture to the mass market; and how the historic events, design houses, retailers, films, magazines, and celebrities shaped the way we dressed, then and now.

Let's Get N-A-K-E-D

What do you get when you take Becks and Posh, add a sickening ponytail and tough slick back and throw them together in a pile of rope in some underwear? You guessed right, it's the new fall 2009 Armani underwear campaign. I don't know if it's just me but, never before have I seen two people who look so hot and steamy together. It's something about those Brits! They don't make em like that in the US anymore.

Beat Phish Boots

Madge does it again gracing the cover of March's W Magazine; Inside she's giving you 47 page editorial, shot by photographer Steven Klein. For the Madge Stans this is a necessity. It's not everyday you get 47 pages of Our favorite House Kitty. If she's giving you perched teas on the cover, imagine the inside spread. I'm excited!

This Is The Real Katie Holmes

Drop that pretty, mommy image and this is what you get. I introduce to you Katie Fierce, she's giving me Dark Mommy Teas but, I love it. I like the direction Miu Miu took with these photos for their ad featuring Holmes. It's rare we see Holmes without Suri or Cruise so, by being able to see Holmes in a darker light makes for a great change. Now if only we could get rid of those boyfriend jeans and we'd be good. It's no shade though, I'm real.
