That Damn Groundhog

I'm not sure how accurate I am with this assessment but, a co-worker informed me that the groundhog saw his shadow which means winter isn't going away as quickly as some of us would have hoped. I'm a stickler for cold weather, so it's good news for me. But, since a majority of people prefer warmer weather, I thought I'd jump on some of the spring/summer trends to be on the look out for. My mission for you this spring is to try something new. Don't conform. Dress up just because it's Tuesday; people may look at you and say "Who is she suppose to be?" Smile, flip your hair and say A Bad Bitch! If you ain't making them talk then, your not doing your job. I've told you coloring inside the lines is lateboots. Believe me! Below, I've included some must haves for spring; Get into the Fit.
I've said this before, The jumper is back. Alot of people have slept on the jumper and said it's late but, in actuality it's right on time. The jumper is a classic piece that allows you to be fashion forward, cool(temperature wise) and comfortable. Jumpers use to be associated with being dressed down but, if you add a frame, stiletto heel and belt for the cinched look, you've got a outfit that not only is sexy but, chic.
Spring isn't complete without a splash of color. For awhile I was anti bright colors for the fact that when the sun hits them they can be too much. But when you pair a spring color like yellow or pink with a subtle shoe, you have a fashion hit.
Plaid has been a print always associated with warm weather. I love plaid; just in moderation. Too much of anything isn't good. With this dress from Theory you get the best of both worlds. You get plaid, a nice silhouette and the option of wearing it by itself for a day on the beach (now i know my black sisters don't do the beach come on now look at their hair but, YGT isn't bias) or with a cardigan for a more tailored look.
Now how can you do spring/summer without the crop pant? The crop pant allows you to show off those legs and that nasty red bottom. What I like about the crop pant is that you can wear it so many ways. Dressy, Sosphicated, Professional or Casual. Fuck the capri pant, it's all about the crop. Sorry for the slip; I'm passionate.
The one-shoulder is going to be big this spring; it allows you the ability to do SOOO much. You could wear this top with some jeans for a day out with the boo but, drop the jeans and add a sickening heel for a night out with the girls. Versatility is key when it comes to fashion.

No outfit can be complete without a heel to TIP. I know you say "But what about my feet Fashion Connoisseur?" I say Pay It! No one said beauty would be painless.
