This video is for my girl Monique Nicole - Stand up DC, who lives for Jazmine Sullivan. We were talking tonight about Jazmine's standing in the game and Monique put up a strong argument for the relevance of Jazzy. She spoke of the substance of Jazmine's lyrics, her unique style and her ability to appeal to young girl (take out the bust your windows part). And after talking to Monique, I realized how innovative Jazmine is. She's pulling elements from old soul put tweaking it and giving it a new age twist, which is something we have not seen in awhile. Kudos to Jazmine for stepping outside the box.
